Susan Steele, Ph.D.

Dr. Steele has been a teacher and researcher in the field of linguistics for over 30 years. She is the author and editor of numerous articles and books on syntax, morphology and typology, including Agreement and Anti-Agreement (1990). She has held positions at colleges and universities in the United States and Europe, including the University of Arizona, Stanford University, and the University of Groningen (The Netherlands). She has also served in a variety of administrative positions, most recently as provost of the Defense Language Institute. Dr. Steele received her Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of California, San Diego.
